If only she had Corgis carrying her train…

Well, the world obviously has a case of wedding fever this week.  Who am I to resist?  After all, I did celebrate my own anniversary yesterday.  I did, however, resist getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the royal wedding and will catch up via DVR instead.  (DVR – best invention ever?)  However, I bet I could have been convinced to get up if I was invited to a celebration like the snazzy one over at Bark’n About.  Anyway…

  1. Your punny pet names: Cat Middleton was perfect for the theme, but it seemed too easy (though I really hope someone has a cat with that name).  So, I also give you… Camilla Barker Bowles.
  2. Have you been to a wedding where the couple’s pet(s) played a role?  As previously discussed, Bella does not travel well.  Thus, we let her snooze at home during the festivities.  It would have been fun to have her there though.  I’ll just have to look at these best dogs and pups of honor instead.  Prefer to let your pets be the star of the show?  Check out this canine wedding photo over at Doggie Stylish or learn about a recent cat wedding in London via Life with Cats.
  3. Want more?  Okay, okay… here are 45 photos of doggie ring bearers.
  4. Larry the Downing Street Cat was all decked out for the royal wedding.  Help him celebrate by checking out this Royal Wedding CATs-travaganza Adoption event.  (It’s part of the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend happening today through Sunday!)
  5. Are you all about the Union Jacks?  The lovely under the blanket has rounded up some fantastic items with a British theme.
  6. Royal wedding not your style?  Perhaps you’ll enjoy these awesomely geeky weddings instead.

Finally, did you see this fantastic Corgi ad?  (It was to convince people to upgrade to HD coverage of the royal wedding – irrelevant now, but still adorable.)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Hi – hope you enjoyed the wedding! Our human did but luckily we got to go out with our man human for the day which was so much better! We enjoyed your post with lots of things to go off and see! Dex & Louis x

  2. You put some work into this post with all the links!I enjoyed looking at them.
If you missed the wedding take a look at this!!

    See Yea George xxx

  3. What great links!!! I'm going to save this to look at everything!!! Thanks!! Have a wonderful weekend! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  4. I saw a tweet that someone said they DVRed the wedding and smacked my forehead thinking, "why didn't I think to do that?!"

I love my DVR but not when I forget to use it! Hope the wedding is quite enjoyable and also happy anniversary to you! 🙂

  5. My mom overslept, but caught the last 20 minutes or so. It is always fun to watch these historic moments – especially when they are happy moments and not sad.

    Your pal, Pip

  6. Must admit that I've not been "into" the wedding hoop-la, but loved your post. Especially the Corgi video – adorable!

  7. The Corgi train would have been interesting. That might have got me up early to see it. We waited until we got bought our home to get our first dog. It is very hard in this area to find dog friendly rentals, so no dogs in the wedding party.

  8. Love the Corgi video! I admit I taped all seven hours AND got up early to watch it!
    Your pals, Diane and Cosmo

  9. Hi, Sam here from the blog hop!
I tried to get my Mommy up at 3 in the morning to see the wedding, but she rolled over and snored. She SAYS we will watch it tomorrow morning! Sigh

  10. BOL, it really does seem a shame that the corgis weren't there with little dresses and ties on. Perhaps a little kitchy for a royal affair, eh?

  11. Happy belated anniversary!

I didn't notice any corgis in all 15 hours of wedding footage that I watched (okay, maybe I exaggerate). I seriously think lots of Brits don't care for the little herders. Clearly, they haven't met mine.

  12. Watched snippets of the wedding the next day. Loved Kate's earrings. Even though I am Canadian and therefore a loyal subject of her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, I'm royally indifferent. Not an anti-monarchist… just… indifferent. But I liked the hats.

  13. Thanks George!

Stacy – I don't know how I'd make it through the week without the DVR! Though I suppose it does feed my TV addiction.

Mr. Pip – I totally agree. We need more happy moments like this one!

Miss Kodee – I look forward to my invite for Harry's wedding! 😉

Chicco – Thanks for visiting – nice to meet you!

Kolchak Puggle – I think the royals could use a little kitsch sometimes. 🙂

Elizabeth – who doesn't love a Corgi? Crazy people, that's who.
