Check out my BlogPaws swag…

Can you believe what I got in my swag bag at BlogPaws?

Just kidding! This little guy, although adorable and riding in a bag, was not part of my swag. He was an adorable pup at the event looking for a forever home.  It took all of my willpower not to smuggle him home and surprise Bella and the hub with a new addition.  All in good time…

(You can check this pup – and many other animals needing a home in the D.C. metro area – out over at Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.)

Don’t get me wrong – although it (rightfully) didn’t include a puppy, the swag bags were pretty darn sweet:

In case you were wondering, I had an absolutely amazing time at BlogPaws.  I got the chance to meet (and spend time with) some of my favorite bloggers, discover new bloggers, learn a bunch, and have a ton of fun.  You can expect a plethora of posts in the future – I intend to recap the weekend, share some of the tips I’ve learned, and tell you all about it!  Stay tuned…

Hope everyone affected by Irene came through the storm okay.  We lost power around 2:30 this morning, but it came back this morning, so I can’t complain.  What a weekend!

Everyone has been talking about the swag this year. I'm thinking I might have to go to Salt Lake City for the next one. Not just for the swag, but to meet you!
I'm hoping Pamela shares a little more over at Something Wagging. Did you know you were such an enigma to so many? 🙂

  7. Popped over from Something Wagging….I want more puppies…:-)

I have a co-worker whose wife finds kittens. Since I have been working with him 5 years she has found at least 5 kittens.

I keep thinking, why can't I find a puppy. If I find one and bring it home maybe hubby would let me keep it.

  8. You had me so excited there for a second. That puppy is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. At least the cutest thing I have seen today. I really admire your self-retraint. I am pretty sure I would have cried if I'd had to put him down.

I can't wait to read all about your experiences so I can pretend I was there!

  9. Hehe, puppies as swag! I love it!

Thanks for being there to crash the Greenies party with me at Blog Paws. I had a great time meeting you.

We made it back to the Midwest safely – I hope Irene didn't knock out your power for too long.

Keep in touch! I love the blog name; puppies are irresistible!

  10. Wow that was a good swag bag, mom says she would have given the pup a home, I bet he's found his forever home.
    Have a good week
    See yea George xxx

  11. I'm sorry we didn't meet up too! We actually decided to leave early, Friday afternoon, to avoid the hurricane. I know we missed out on a lot, but we crammed a lot into the time we were there, and boy did we bring home a lot of stuff! I'm glad you enjoyed it too. If there's a next time, we'll have to plan a time and place and make sure we see each other. 🙂 By the way, I wish I'd gotten one of those pups in my bag! 😉

  12. It sounds like you had an AMAZING time!! That puppy sure does look cuuute! And oh gosh, look at all the prizes… pawsome! 😉

    Woofs & hugs, <3

  13. Oh I don't think I could have turned down that puppy. What a cutie and in the bag. Glad to hear you had such a good time at Blog paws. Can't wait to hear all about it. What fun to meet bloggers. Take care and have a really fun day.

  14. jodistone – Nice to meet you!

Kristine – It was very hard to walk away. So cute.

Jess – We were lucky. Only out for 7 hours. Glad you made it home!

Kirsten – Camping in a hurricane? Oh dear!

George the Lad – I hope so. I can't imagine that cutie would be on the market for long.

Brian – I'm not sure if Bella would have approved. Sometimes I do wonder if she prefers being an only child…

Kristin G – Silly hurricane. Next time we will definitely have to plan!

Bailey – it was an awesome time! 🙂

Marg – It really was fun. Everyone was so nice!

  15. Like I just mentioned on Pamela's blog, I'm SO glad you happened to be in my session on Friday!! I would never have been brave enough to weave my way through the crowd staring at nametags (not to mention that would've been creepy) looking for your blog name. 🙂 I wish I hadn't had to run, though. 🙁

Also, you are more than half a decade younger than me. If you're not, you should start up a blog about how you keep yourself looking so young. 🙂

  16. Elizabeth – You and the pups were on my "have to meet" list, so I'd been keeping an eye out! 🙂 (Though I admit, I did try to do some stealthy nametag reading throughout the weekend, and I felt a bit creepy myself since the blog names were so small.) As for my age… I think I just have to chalk it up to good genes (my mom always looked younger too).
