On Saturday, a friend and I decided to check out a local antiques fair. I wound up coming home with a few items, but my favorite just so happens to have a puppy theme.
Have you ever heard of push button puppets? Essentially, they are jointed and held together by a string. When you push on the base, they dance! I used to play with them when I was a kid, and I was thrilled to find some for sale.

Once I saw them, I knew that they had to be mine. Check out one of them, henceforth known as Push Button Puppy, in action:

Lucky you! I love those little things, but had no idea what they were called. We used to have a couple in our toy box at my grandmother’s house – thank you for that little bit of nostalgia!

Yes, I am that old 🙂 I do remember those toys. I used to play with my Grandparent’s donkey. They had to move out of their house and get rid of a bunch of stuff but that is one think I kept. The doggy ones you found are super cute.

Oh yes, I remember those. I don’t remember what ones we had, Disney characters maybe? I love those puppy ones. I’ll have to watch for some next time we go to an antiques fair or flea market!
