Beware the cone o’ shame…

It’s time for your Friday links!

Wait, it’s Monday? I missed Friday again?

Oh, well… to the links!

  1. First up, your punny pet name in honor of St. Catrick’s Day: Mew Barrymore.

  2. It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so today’s links are (loosely) tied into that theme. Before we get started, a brief PSA. If you’re going to abbreviate, remember that it’s St. Paddy’s Day, not St. Patty’s Day… unless you are celebrating St. Patricia, the patron saint of Peppermint Patty. (Got it, Chuck?)
  3. Seriously, you don’t want to end up wearing a cone of shame today, do you? (Your friends will never let you live it down.)
  4. If you’re celebrating with beer today, promise me you’ll skip the green food coloring. (Green accessories, however, are strongly encouraged.)
  5. Drinking on a Monday’s not your thing? No problem – have a slice of cake or whip up a quick feast instead.
  6. If a dog ever finds the end of the rainbow, I’m pretty sure this is what the scene will look like. (Maybe the Irish Setters know how to find it?)

On a related note, it’s snowing AGAIN. Here’s a dramatic reenactment of how I feel about this situation:

I’m not even exaggerating. (Speaking of the dreaded cone of shame and things that are green, this pup has it all.)

Finally, in case you missed it, here’s what we’ve been up to on the blog lately:

That’s all for today. I hope your St. Patrick’s Day is less snow-covered than mine!

  1. I had never seen poor Harvey’s Cone of Sadness video, but it certainly did have me feeling sad for him! I had been spelling it St. “Patty’s” Day for years, until I found out earlier this year that it’s actually “Paddy’s.” Thank you for this PSA though…I wish someone had told me before this year!
