For real. And his name is Reginald.
Reginald, you guys.
I kind of hope this is just the trailer for a full-length film of Reginald getting a bath. I will be there on opening day.
So just where have I been lately? (Aside from the obligatory storm prep, of course.) Good question. Among other things, I was beset by allergies, went to a conference, took Bella to the vet, attended a wedding, hung out with friends, and gave Bella a bath. I meant to blog as well, but it just didn’t happen. I guess I needed a bit of a break.
(I’m sorry I missed Friday’s link roundup. However, if you need a dose of linky goodness, check out my guest post over at Kol’s Notes!)
I’m hoping to schedule a few posts today before the inevitable power outage, but we’ll see how far I get. The storm may have other ideas.
In any event, the photo below represents how Bella felt about this entire weekend. On Saturday, she visited the vet, where she was poked and prodded. She has allergies and a slight bacterial infection on her paws, so she’s now the victim of a medicated spray twice daily, in addition to antibiotics and a weekly sponge bath of her legs with medicated shampoo. The vet also recommended a full bath with the medicated shampoo to kick things off. Bella did not approve. Talk about making me feel guilty…

I’m a little off my game this week. Instead of your usual Friday link roundup, today I’m sharing a few photos. (After all, I missed my usual Wordless Wednesday post.) Tomorrow, I’ll have a special Saturday edition of linky goodness for you. After that, perhaps I’ll be back on track. We’ll see…
Anyway, you may remember that Tavish was kind of a scraggly guy when he first came to live with us. When we had him groomed for the first time, he cleaned up quite nicely. However, he was having some tooth issues then and wouldn’t let the groomer do anything to his face, hence his ZZ Top facial hair.
Today, he took his second trip to the groomer, and the ZZ Top days are no more. Check him out:
Not too shabby, huh? (Although perhaps I should have waited and just let him go as ZZ Top for Halloween.)
After a trip to the groomer, he’s always kind of pooped. So, he and Bella decided to hop on the couch for a nap. (She’s all about the moral support, that one.)
That’s all for today… check back tomorrow for your weekly link roundup!
It’s Friday… let’s get to the linkage!
You didn’t think I’d make it through this post with only one Olympics reference, did you? As if. Today’s video reveals the results of the Cat Sleeping Position Olympics:
That’s all folks! Hard to believe the Olympics are almost over already. Will you be spicing up your life on Sunday?
Hot. So hot. (As you can see, the heat temporarily rendered me unable to produce normal sentences. I’ll attempt to remedy that.) To the links!
It’s always a good idea to hit the pool. No, not that kind of pool. This kind. Or, you know, you could just do this…
Whatever you do this weekend, remember that a dog in a hot car is a bad idea. Here’s how you can help fight the stupidity.
So far this week, the focus has been on spa days (and sudsy pups). Bella doesn’t mind some of the amenities at my day spa, but she’d prefer to skip the bath part of it all.
Anyway, with that in mind, I’m giving you a task. Give me your best captions for these two photos from Bella’s recent bath adventure.

Get those creative juices flowing, and don’t forget to check out the spa-related giveaways I posted about yesterday.
As I mentioned earlier today, I’m participating in the Happy Tails Spa Giveaway Event, sponsored by Happy Tails Spa and hosted by Two Little Cavaliers.
I was given two products to review – and you can win those two products! Visit my earlier post for details and to enter that giveaway – from that post you will also find links to other participating bloggers and a chance to win other products from Happy Tails.
However, I also wanted to tell you about the opportunity to win the grand prize for this giveaway event – a $100 shopping spree to Happy Tails. The products are all-natural, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Ready to go on a shopping spree? (It’s like that old Supermarket Sweep show, only online and you don’t have to wear matching outfits. I guess it’s not really like that show at all. I kind of wish I’d been on that show. Anyway… I should move on.)
Enter to win using the Rafflecopter below (open to U.S. only – more details here).
We’re participating in a fun event today… it’s the Happy Tails Spa Giveaway Event hosted by Two Little Cavaliers and sponsored by Happy Tails Spa!
It starts today (obviously) at 12:01am EST and will end at 12:01am EST on May 30. 2012. As you can see, you have plenty of time to enter!
This is a pretty big event – over 65 bloggers have come together to bring you some amazing natural spa products for your dogs. Each blog is offering one or more fantastic Problem Solving Products for the Modern Dog. All of the products offered by Happy Tails Spa are Eco-Friendly, All Natural, and Cruelty Free.
After the jump, check out my review of two of these products – the Comfy Dog Oatmeal Shampoo for Dry & Itchy Skin and Itchin’ For Relief, an All-Natural Targeted Anti-Itch Spray. (Although I received these products to review, the opinions are my own.) Then, sign up to enter to win these two products! After that, you can hop around to the other participating blogs for a chance to win other products. Pretty cool, huh?
Bella has the habit of returning all of her toys to her chosen Toy Corner. (I didn’t train her to do it, but maybe some of my Type A rubbed off on her.) However, she just keeps them in a big pile, which tends to expand throughout the week until Toy Corner has somehow annexed half of the family room.
Apparently I should have taught her to put them in a box instead, like this adorable gal:
Does your dog clean up his or her toys?
