Instead of posting, I just sit. Instead of writing, my brain just quits. It’s a hard blog life.
Friends, it’s been too long. I wish I could tell you that I’ve been productive during my unintentional blogging hiatus.

However, while I did manage to take a real vacation (woohoo!) and attend a surprise anniversary party for my in-laws, I can’t say that I’ve been a paragon of productivity. (Although I do have a few canine capers to share with you in the coming weeks.)
Does spinning my wheels, staring vacantly at the DVR, catching a few movies with friends, and surfing the Internet count as productive?

Let’s get back into it with a new installment of your long-neglected Friday linkage:
- First, your punny pet name: Lickolas Cage (Bonus pun-related art: Dogtor Who!)
- I know I’ve been away for a while. Apparently, I should have enlisted a horde of puppies to steal some motivation for me. Borrow, I mean. I’d totally give it back once I found my own motivation again. Promise.
- It’s really too bad that I didn’t spend the time buying more matching outfits. We could have been the next big thing… or not. I’m pretty sure that the dogs and I can’t compete with these two.
- I also didn’t spend the time becoming a gourmet chef of canine cuisine. Don’t tell my dogs that I’m slacking off, okay?
- I did, however, spend a lot of time wishing that I’d come up with Pun Dog.
- If I could go back in time, I’d spend my unplanned hiatus learning to make costumes for tortoises. It seems like worthy goal. (Maybe I could practice on the dogs first. They’d love that.)

That’s actually a pretty accurate representation of how I’ve probably looked to most people who have encountered me lately.

It’s pretty easy to let a blog slide. All that new found time is pretty great, no matter what you use it for. I know I’ve been suffering from a complete lack of photographic inspiration. Seems like I’ve taken every picture there is to take in my neighborhood!

Glad to see you back! Sometimes I’m so overwhelmed with everything I have to do that when I’m kind of caught up and finally have time to do something I’ve been wanting to, I end up doing nothing. Sometimes you just have to give yourself a break from being productive!
